Crochet Hearts in Three Sizes

11/12/2021

Picture
Today's free pattern is for crochet hearts, available in three different sizes! The hearts are actually easier to make they might first appear. If they do seem daunting, perhaps start with the smaller size first. You can customize the color for each of the hearts you make; I was going for an ombré effect based on size. The hearts make perfect gifts, and are great for a beginner practice project. Fill with stuffing or dried flowers for sachets.
If you would like to purchase the PDF version of the pattern, it is available through my Ravelry and LoveCrafts stores. The direct purchasing link for Ravelry is below.

  • Medium Heart: 3 in (7.6cm) long, 7 in (17.7cm) circumference at largest section.
  • Small Heart: 2.5 in (6.3cm) long, 5.25 in (13.3cm) circumference at largest section.

Pattern Notes

  • The pattern pieces are worked continuously in the round.
  • Slip stitch at the beginning of each round to join. Unless otherwise stated, the slip stitch does not count as the first stitch.
  • US crochet terminology is used for the pattern.
  • Matching gauge is not important for this pattern. Simply keep a tight, even tension throughout.
  • You may also make these into sachets by filling partly or completely with dried flowers.
