Hello everyone! Today's free pattern is for an amigurumi koala! I've been making several amigurumi Australian and Tasmanian animals lately, with the koala being the first of two that I recently published. The second is a thylacine (aka Tasmanian tiger), which you can purchase on Ravelry and Lovecrafts. Coming soon: Gouldian finches, a kangaroo, rainbow lorikeets, and a platypus. Stay tuned!

The ears should be further down the sides of the head, but completely in the center (on the koala shown, they span down rnds 4, 5, 6, 7, and 8). The nose spans rnd 8, 9, 10, and 11. Attach the completed head to the body, then attach the limbs to the body; add the legs parallel to the body so the koala is sitting.
