The second bee pattern is here! You can find now this illusive little bee in my store. When I first started posting about my crochet creations, one of the first amigurumi was a regular bumblebee pattern. I decided to make another bee but wanted to think of something slightly different, and still cute. After some thought I narrowed the idea to a fruit themed-bee, and eventually decided to make a watermelon bee since I like just about anything watermelon themed.
This is a beginner level pattern. It is similar to my original bumblebee pattern, only with watermelon colors (including seeds) and embroidered blush on the face. I also used my usual 6mm black safety eyes (my favorite), and my favorite amigurumi yarn, Ricorumi DK. This is a small pattern so you only one skein of each Ricorumi color to make a watermelon bee.
What do you think of the watermelon bee? Feel free to share pictures if you've made one using my pattern.
