Mangosteen AMigurumi

The first of the exotic fruit patterns is here! I decided to make little mangosteens, one whole fruit and one half fruit showcasing the unique inside of this tropical wonder. I've been working on a mangosteen pattern for some time, as I have wanted to make tropical fruit, particularly those with bright colors and unique forms, in crochet form. Mangosteen caught my attention early on as I did research into unusual fruit.
On a slightly different note, finally, after some time, I got to try fresh mangosteen over the summer. They are definitely worth trying at least once. I would describe them as a cross between a lychee and a tangerine; the inner white flesh (the part you usually eat) is unfortunately quite small, so you have to eat quite a few mangosteen to really enjoy it.
